Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer
Ugh, Twilight!? Sorry, just preemptively addressing the fact that we know some people love it, and some people hate it. The fact is with its commercial success, this sexy read belongs on this list.
At the beginning of Twilight, heroine Bella and her father move to the seemingly boring town of Forks. However, her life changes to a heart-pumping and blood-chilling experience when she meets handsome and enigmatic Edward Cullen. While this definitely fits the bill for a vampire novel - there are many, many werewolf shifters introduced as the story progresses.
Twilight is the first book in the Twilight Saga series that introduces Isabella (Bella) and Edward to the readers. With this romance told in the first person, the reader only gets to know the story from Isabella’s perspective. Throughout the series, she unravels the mystery that is Edward’s vampire family.
Graphic and vividly written, the description of places and events in the story leaves you almost feeling as if you have been there. The forlorn romance between Isabella and Edward feels doomed but both of them are not ready to give up. Eventually, their love becomes a terrifying race to keep alive.
If you love young adult romances and aren't afraid of some heavy vampire action in your werewolf books, this series is definitely for you!
